Go! It’s totally worth it. The food is great, the owners are super nice, the service is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It will take a little while to get your food but it’s because they make everything fresh for you. We really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. PS. The owners do speak a bit of English and they have English menus available as well.

Small, cozy cafe. A little bit hidden between/behind the cemeteries, but worth the search. Beautiful view. Great Russian style tea. Homemade sweets. Loved it!

A cozy Japanese-Russian fusion cafe located near the cemetery- the atmosphere here is cozy, comfortable, warm and tranquil. Be it the backyard or the sea view, come here for a relaxing, chill time. We tried the muffins which tasted homemade and were not too sweet. The savoury pastry with lamb and potato was rather tasty. You can try the creamy seafood chowder if you want something warm but for me, it was a little too sweet.

Cafe Morie- This is definitely a must visit cafe while in Hakodate. The cinnamon rolls were fabulous. And so was the Piroshiki. The cafe windows look out to the sea and the sun setting if you come in the late afternoon. If you come before 6pm, which is the stated closing time of the cafe, the lady didn't seem to mind serving us well after 6pm. She's so welcoming.
